Steven P. Deis

Vice President Business Development

Steve has more than 10 years experience in the financial services industry with an emphasis in project finance and the development of business relationships with owners of closely held corporations. His strength is conveying difficult concepts to owners and their families relating to the succession of their businesses for future generations. He works exhaustively to educate and combine all parties involved within a given transaction from the beginning to successful completion.

He began his career in financial services with Merrill Lynch as a Middle-Markets consultant specializing in constructing complexed financial designs for high net worth business owners and their families. He has subsequently worked in the same role with Wachovia / Prudential and Smith Barney / Citigroup. Steve has worked extensively with the succession planning and corporate finance issues of closely held corporations including project financing and section 1042 tax code design for owners of “C” Corporations. His background in finance, business law, and wealth management make him uniquely qualified to understand the complicated dynamics that surround a family business. Most importantly, his attention to detail and his understanding of the non-financial aspects of succession planning make him a valuable asset to each relationship he has developed.

He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration form California State University Fresno. His background emphasis was in the area of Business Law and Finance. Steve lives in Central California with his wife Jennifer and two sons, Brandon and Tyler. He has been active as a community volunteer for over 17 years in many areas of youth development.
